(ASH Networks), American Specialty Health Plans of California, Inc. (ASH Plans), American Specialty Health IPA of New York, Inc. (ASH IPA), American Specialty Health ODS of New Jersey, Inc. (ASH ODS), American Specialty Health Networks of South Dakota, Inc. (ASH Networks SD), and American Specialty Health Management, Inc. (ASH Management) have demonstrated the commitment to be measured by nationally accepted health care benchmarks. This accreditation assures health plans, employer groups, members, and providers that ASH maintains the infrastructure and processes necessary to promote high-quality health care.
The URAC health program accreditations received by ASH include a comprehensive review of organizational structure, administrative services, network management, quality management, utilization management, provider services, provider credentialing, member participation and protection, and claims processing. Although URAC also offers a certification process available to organizations that opt for a less comprehensive evaluation, ASH has opted to pursue full accreditation rather than the certification process.

Telehealth(Includes VIRTUAL PHYSICAL THERAPY & REHABILITATION)ASH’s Telehealth Accreditation focuses on the Telehealth standards for the Consumer-to-Provider module, covering services initiated by a patient and can take place in the home or other non-clinical setting. They address best practices in areas such as healthcare quality and coordination, access, safety, systems integrity and reliability, consumer protection and empowerment, and regulatory compliance.

ASH Group (formerly ASH Networks) and ASH Plans were among the first complementary health care companies to receive NCQA Organization Certification in Utilization Management and Credentialing for their specialty network programs. This Certification process focuses on consumer protection and improvement in service to customers. Standards recognize that organizations that apply for certification have open-access networks, and can improve service quality and utilize customized structures to meet purchaser needs. First certified: October 2005. Current cycle: September 2019 - September 2025
In 2017, to better align with regulatory agency terminology, NCQA changed this from a certification to an accreditation process. It should be noted that ASH programs are currently delegated to by more than 50 NCQA-accredited health plans for many of the services offered by ASH, including utilization management, provider quality management, claims processing, provider credentialing, and member services. ASH continues to align its operations to comply with NCQA standards to support good business practices and NCQA accredited customers. ASH continues to hold this accredited program in good standing.
American Specialty Health Management's wellness programs were among the first in the country to receive NCQA Wellness and Health Promotion Accreditation. NCQA Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation is a nationally recognized evaluation that purchasers and consumers can use to assess wellness and health promotion programs. First accredited: October 2009. Current cycle: August 26, 2021 – August 26, 2024.
HITRUST CSF Certified status indicates that America Specialty Health’s programs* and supporting systems** have met industry-defined requirements and the organization is appropriately managing risk in regards to these programs/systems. This places ASH in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification.
